Lessons learned for the evening.

Helmet mounted lights make a big difference for night riding. You can actually do technical stuff.
you can probably survive on just a helmet mounted light, but your bound to crash into something sooner or later since you have to keep pointing the light back to where you're going.
29ers remind me of my old W123 benz. big yet graceful for a smoother ride.
a 30 minute ride in the village is enough to put a smile on my face. :)
